Studying. Ugh.
Andromeda Thordottir threw down her writing utensil and slumped in her seat. Crossing her arms in vexation, she looked out through her window at the fine Asgardian day outside, then back to the half-finished scroll about the War of Jotunheim. Her grandfather, Odin All-Father, had been king during that war and had proceeded to win it. She had always enjoyed the story, but now, she wished that it had been a shorter one.
She gazed out through the window again. The sun was beginning to set and the sky had turned from blue to a gold and pink aurora, soon the stars would be out. The outside world was beckoning and she felt that

Their eyes locked instantly. Both pairs of eyes were wide, but Loki’s were the widest. He had been setting a finished book on his shelf and had turned abruptly when he had heard the door to his room open. As he had had no visitors for several years, he was extremely surprised at the sight of the young girl standing before him.
The moment Andromeda saw him for the first time, tears welled up in her eyes and her mouth dropped open slightly. She was terrified. Yes, of him, but also at the fact that no one was allowed in here with him, particularly her. She had broken the rules, but she also had finally fulfilled the deep wish of hers to

“Uncle?” He breathed in astonishment. “I am your uncle?”
“Yes,” she answered him earnestly with tears gleaming in her eyes.
“You are truly Thor’s daughter?” He asked as he grasped her by her shoulders and brought her thin frame closer to him in order to gaze into her eyes.
“Yes, I am.” She was struggling with her lachrymose emotions. “Oh, Uncle! I cannot even describe to you how long I have wanted to meet you, to see you, speak with you! And now that I finally have, I find I do not know what to say!” She did not hesitate this time, but she threw her arms aroun

Several hours later, Thor Odinson knocked on his daughter’s bedroom door. When he received no answer however, he opened the door slowly and entered. He found his daughter sitting at her desk, her raven head in her arms, sobbing softly. Despite his great size, Thor managed to steal over by her side making very little noise. Nevertheless, the girl felt her father’s presence. His lovely blue eyes softened in pity and he reached out gently with a strong hand and rested it on her back. She did not look up, but continued to cry into her arms. The father stroked his daughter’s hair comfortingly.
“What is wrong, Ada?”

Loki lounged lazily in his armchair, a long thin forefinger tracing absentmindedly over the cover of the book in his lap. Had he not been wearing the muzzle, he would have been smirking widely. But the muzzle was in place, so his green eyes glowed instead.
He had lied to Andromeda. He seemed to do that quite well. Although, to be fair, the lie wasn’t directed solely towards her. He told that lie to everyone. He could still use magic, but only a bit, and he had to use a great deal more effort; also, he definitely did not have enough power to set himself free.
Andromeda thought him powerless and this gave him a distinct advantage. T

Around sundown the next night, the door to Loki’s chamber opened softly and Andromeda slipped inside. Loki rose from his seat when he saw her and he stood looking at her expectantly. Giving him a firm stare, Andromeda strode up to him and crossed her arms, but she did not remove his gag.
“Aright, I’ll let you teach me magic,” she never took her eyes from his. “But if you betray me, god of mischief, I swear that you will regret it.” She paused and took a deep breath. “Agreed?”
Loki nodded his head with an invisible smirk.
“Alright.” Then she unlocked his muzzle and let it fall a

Several days passed by, and Andromeda became better acquainted with her uncle as well as the spells he was teaching her. She came to him quite regularly, almost every evening, and now, every time she would release Loki from his muzzle, the first thing he would do would be to hold her face and give her a gentle kiss on the forehead. She was very happy and content now as she got to know him… Or at least she thought she was getting to know him. But she never saw his sly smiles or heard his thoughts.
Regardless of Loki’s angle, they were getting closer and Loki undeniably enjoyed her company. He was not alone every hour of every

“You are wearing the expression…” Thor told his daughter as they walked into the throne room.
“What expression, father?” She asked. “I am merely smiling.”
“It is the expression of secret thoughts and mischief,” he stated, looking at her shrewdly.
“I was not aware I possessed such an expression,” she said honestly.
“It is a face I used to see a great deal…” His voice trailed off for a moment, then he shook off his feeling of sadness. “But do you have anything you wish to tell me, Ada?”
She paused to think for a moment and she thought of

Andromeda did not care where she ran, she just wanted to get out of the room and away from her father. Tears streamed down her face as she wept bitterly. Her painful and angry thoughts swirled around inside her and her father’s words echoed in her mind.
“But how can I marry someone I do not love?!”
“I did!”
Could what he said be true? Did he never love my mother? What of me, then? Does he truly love me? Or am I merely another tool to use in binding two kingdoms together?
Her legs had blindly carried her to her bedroom and she threw the doors open, locked them behind her, then fell, face-down, on her bed.

The door to Loki’s chambers closed quietly and Andromeda locked them slowly, keeping her head bent. Loki saw her at once and rose at the sight of her, inspecting her with narrowed eyes. He was suspicious. Had Thor found out about them? Had she found something out about him? Did she know he was a Frost Giant? Even if he had been able to speak around his muzzle, he would not have asked her such questions for the sake of secrecy. When she turned around, he instantly softened his face and made his eyes gentle, not wanting to spook her. Not that she would have noticed, she seemed very preoccupied.
She silently went to him and r
